Non-EEA nationals studying full-time in Ireland generally need to be enrolled on a course on the Interim List of Eligible Programmes (ILEP) and, where visa-required, apply for a 'D' study visa before travelling.
After arrival, most students need to register with immigration authorities and maintain private medical insurance and evidence of funds for the duration of their course.
Rules and thresholds change periodically - always confirm current requirements with the Irish Immigration Service before applying.
