Ireland student visas
Last reviewed 5 September 2026
Non-EEA nationals studying a full-time course in Ireland generally need a 'D' study visa (where visa-required) and must register with immigration authorities on arrival. Courses must normally be on the Interim List of Eligible Programmes (ILEP) for immigration permission purposes.
